This week on Ask Rob & Rob, Teetee asked:
Can I invest in property with no money?
Potentially! The answer talked about how most people aren’t just going to give you money, but there are plenty of people out there who want to invest in property, but don’t have the time, or the knowledge, or both to do so. They may be willing for you to do the investment on their behalf, which of course means that you have to meet their needs of having both the time and knowledge to work with their money.
So to make a convincing pitch to them, you’re going to need to be able to demonstrate to them that you’re going to get them the desired result, and that’s a tough thing to do when you’re starting out. Therefore, the thing to do if you don’t have the money to invest, is to invest your time in building your skills, to get ones that potential investors want. Become an expert in HMOs, or refurbs, or whatever you want to learn about.
The fact is that it’s hard, and there are lots of courses out there that will try and take your money and offer a quick fix. But if you check out our forums and meetups, you’ll have a massive head start over most people, and you may well find folks who you can help in exchange for knowledge and to build your property CV for future pitches. Good luck!
