This week…we’re LIVE!
This episode was recorded in front of 150 people at the Property Investor Show…and just to add a little extra pressure, we thought it’d be a good idea to take spontaneous questions from the audience!
- Whether the current negativity around property makes it a good or bad time to invest
- What to do if you want to buy a property that has squatters
- The best way to get started for someone with lots of time but no money or experience
- Whether it’s a good idea to buy a home in London or a buy-to-let elsewhere
- How the two of us met!
- And a whole lot more
How did we cope when put on the spot, without the comfort blanket of our editor? There’s only one way to find out!
News this week
You should hold off buying a property until 2019, according to Merryn Somerset-Webb in the FT.
She doesn’t talk in terms of the property cycle, but the implication is the same: wait out the mid-cycle dip, then get involved again. Our opinion is that the market can’t be timed so exactly and there will be lots of good opportunities around in the next few years, but the discussion is interesting all the same.
